Renascere is an expressive solo cello legato instrument, focused on lyrical, organic performance and natural musical phrasing.
Designed for slower melodic lines and expressive writing, it delivers a warm, intimate sound with a wide playable range, extending up to two Gs above middle C, and a fluid, responsive legato that invites musical performance rather than programming.
With an intimate, close mono mic and a wider, spaced stereo mic, Renascere is equally suited to expressive lead lines and more traditional orchestral writing.

Analogue excellence
Renascere was recorded using a carefully chosen selection of classic analogue microphones, preamps and consoles, selected for tone, depth and musicality.
Recorded in the same studio as Dulcitone, Renascere was tracked through classic Neve and SSL analogue processing, preserving weight, detail and character of the cello.
INTERFACE
Mic 1 is a mono signal recorded through a rare original U47, offering focus, weight and immediacy.
Mic 2 is a stereo pair of original U87s, providing width and depth within the same space.
Both microphones were recorded through classic Neve and SSL analogue processing.
Renascere keeps control deliberately simple: independent mic levels, pan, reverb, and a tonal switch between Classical (neutral and natural) and Cinematic (slightly enhanced and more forward).

Legato recorded into sustins for more natural and expressive response. Unlike more conventional samping this means for every time you land on a note from a different previous note, you’re hearing a different sample instead of the same one.
